​This webquest is for Year 2 students

3 lessons 1 assessment task & Rubric

Students will gain stills to work collaboratively to design a healthy lunch box. 

Please read below for further information on this webquest.



The lessons and assessment task addresses the following Content descriptors aligned with The Australian Curriculum.

 

DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY

Sequence steps for making designed solutions and working collaboratively (ACTDEP009)

  • identifying roles for each member of a group when working collaboratively

 

Explore how plants and animals are grown for food, clothing and shelter and how food is selected and prepared for healthy eating (ACTDEK003)

  • identifying and categorising a wide range of foods, prepare these for healthy eating

HEALTH

Recognise situations and opportunities to promote health, safety and wellbeing (ACPPS018)

 

ENGLISH

Rehearse and deliver short presentations on familiar and new topics (ACELY1667)

 

Create short imaginative, informative and persuasive texts using growing knowledge of text structures and language features for familiar and some less familiar audiences, selecting print and multimodal elements appropriate to the audience and purpose (ACELY1671)

 

GENERAL CAPABILITY:

* Information and Communication Technology

* Personal and Social Capability

* Critical Creative Thinking

* Literacy and Reading

 

DIFFERENTIATION:

* Allocate students into groups with mix range of abilities to support each learner

EXAMPLE - place a student who is not confident with computers with someone who is.

* With the story book there are two options one to read and one to listen to - this is for the students who may find the text hard to read. (also a more interactive way to understand the book)
